March 29, 2007 Vol. 1 Issue 13— Good Thursday to all!

“Way of the Peaceful Warrior”...

I adore movies and when I find a great one I want others to see it too.

Last year, I saw a movie when it was in the local “artsie theater”. It truly inspired me—so much so that I saw it 3 times. It’s about not taking your life for granted, and learning that there are no limitations when you truly set your focus, your heart, body, mind and soul on a goal.

The film is based on Dan Millman's book “Way of the Peaceful Warrior”, a semi-autobiographical story of his early life lessons on the power of spirit over strength. I read the book more than 20 years ago and it change the direction of my life. If you've seen “The Secret”—“The Peaceful Warrior” is a movie for you. (Even if you haven't seen “The Secret”, it's still a movie for you.)

... but wait there's more—Free Passes

“The Peaceful Warrior”—opens nationwide this weekend. All you have to do for your free movie passes (up to 10) is go to: http://www.bestbuy.com/peacefulwarrior

Experience this film! It’s been called “Rocky for Your Soul” and I couldn’t agree more.

Have a great day in whatever your adventure,
To Success! To Life!

p.s. Impression Engineers has no connection to the movie and Best Buy or control over the free passes. They are a “first come, first seated” type of pass, so plan accordingly.

Don’t Expect to Succeed—
Plan to Succeed

Do you realize that one-quarter of 2007 is almost gone? Where did the first quarter go? Time flies while we are doing something else... So, how’s your success going?

Successful people have one common denominator—they are passionate people, they are excited about what they are doing and where they are going—they believe in themselves and their “mission”. Most importantly, they have a plan of action to reach their goal.

As we enter the second quarter, what is your plan of action for your business?

The first step in an Action Plan is to review all parts of your business from all angles. Once you review it from the perspective of business management, step aside and be an outside observer of your business. Ask yourself,

  1. “Knowing what I know now, how can I rethink the issues that an investor would consider when judging the viability of this business?”
  2. “If I were a customer, what experience would I have?”
  3. “As an employee, do I have all the knowledge I need and is working here a positive experience?”

Review:

  • The company’s primary objectives. Revise as necessary.
  • Your employees and vendors. Are they trained correctly? Is the company properly staffed and are the vendors the right ones?
  • Your niche market. Create a detailed description of how you are meeting the needs AND the markets desires with your product or service
  • Financial projections for this quarter and adjust new projections if necessary. Are you meeting your profit point, break-even point, and ROI for investors?

Is your company functioning in an effective and efficient manner?  If not, why not?

Remember: The flexible never get bent out of shape. As you review your plan determine what works and doesn’t work. Be willing to flex your plans as necessary. Who knows, you may find even better markets with just a little proactive planning. Stay flexible and open to change in your business.
